So I Suppose This Is The Start of My Blog? A Perfect Sunday.

Hello world of blogging!
I've been toying with the idea of starting a blog for a rather long time, so I suppose this is long overdue. All I really plan on doing is posting about my life and what I'm up to... Things I'm loving, places I go and photos I take. I'm not sure who will want to read about my comings and goings but I know for a fact that I love reading other people's, so why not give it a try!
So let me get started with my first post:

A Perfect Sunday

This Sunday was probably as close to perfect as I could imagine. I woke up late and enjoyed a leisurely morning in bed reading and sipping coffee. I'm currently re-reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I'm loving all the blasts from the past that I'm having... An old, well read book is like a dear friend. I was thinking back to when I first read it and how much I loved it then, and how much I still love it now, and it made me smile. When I was younger I was convinced (as was everyone I think) that I belonged  in Gryffindor... However as time has passed and I've reached the ripe old age of 21, I've come to realise I am a Hufflepuff. Through and through (and damn proud of it I'll have you know).

When I finally did decide to get ready I opted for a smoky brown eye using my Naked Basics palette and a touch of Maybelline Color Tattoo in On and on Bronze. I paired it with berry lips, courtesy of the Revlon Colorburst lip butter in Berry Smoothie. I wanted a natural winter-esque look. Teamed all of this with a gorgeous dress from Missguided and some black studded boots for good measure. Here's everything I used:

(Clockwise) Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette, Mac Studio Fix in NW20, The Body Shop Brow and Liner Kit, Maybelline Color Tattoo in On and on Bronze, Benefit Porefessional, Maybelline Pure Blush Mineral in Quartz Peach, Sleek Face Form in Light, Bourjois Volumizer Mascara in Ultra Black, Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer in Soft Beige and MAC Eye Kohl in Teddy. Phew! That was a mouthful... Never realised how hard beauty bloggers have it!

After much faffing around (mostly on my part I admit), we were ready to leave the flat. We had decided to go on a little ramble around Southampton Common, which is only a 15 minute walk from us. It also seemed like the perfect place to give my new baby a test run...
My new Lomography Camera - The Diana F+ to be quite precise.
I spent absolutely ages attempting to load the film and I'm almost certain I did it wrong, but at least I gave it a go! I'll definitely try to remember to post pics if they ever come through! Our walk on the common was really lovely, it was a Sunday afternoon so lots of kids laughing a adorable dogs wanting to say hello. I also took a few snaps on my iPhone as I don't have a digital camera at the moment (eyeing up a lovely Canon though).

Here I am concentrating very hard on a little stream. Guy taking photos of me in secret as usual.

After our stroll we headed to our favourite local pub for a good old fashioned Sunday Roast. We arrived to the wonderful sight of a roaring fire which is something I really love about a good pub. I had a mulled cider which was amazing, so warming and wintery. Guy of course opted for an ale. We ordered a roast dinner platter for 2 which came with 3 kinds of meat and an amazing selection of trimmings. We had a lovely natter, and shared a honey frozen yoghurt with raspberries for dessert.

Once we were suitably stuffed and home again, it was about time to snuggle up and watch some good TV with a mug of chamomile and honey tea to see the evening off. The whole day was idyllic. I loved every second of it. We're planning another walk on the common soon so we can explore some more wild and wooded bits... Who knows, maybe I'll maneuver it so we do it on a Sunday and I can live out my dream day again... I can't wait.

So that concludes my lovely Sunday, and in fact my first blog post. Really hope this takes off and I actually commit to it, I've really enjoyed writing this all down.

Until next time!
